G R Infraprojects Wins ₹1,454 Crore NHAI Highway Contract in Gujarat

G R Infraprojects Limited has secured a ₹1,453.57 crore highway project from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the upgradation of a key stretch of NH-56 in Gujarat.

The company has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) after emerging as the lowest bidder (L1) for the project, which involves the conversion of an existing two-lane highway into a four-lane divided carriageway. The stretch spans 60.21 km, connecting Nasarpore village in Umarpada taluka to Malotha village in Vyara taluka.

The project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), a structure that combines government funding support with private sector participation. Under this model, a portion of the project cost is paid during construction, while the balance is recovered through annuity payments over the concession period.

The construction timeline has been set at 910 days (approximately 2.5 years) from the appointed date.

Strategically, the NH-56 corridor is an important route linking multiple states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, and connects to major economic corridors such as NH-48. The upgradation is expected to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time, and enhance regional connectivity, particularly in South Gujarat.

This project forms part of a broader push to upgrade highway infrastructure in the region, with the NH-56 development programme aimed at improving logistics efficiency and supporting economic activity across industrial and commercial zones.

The order further strengthens G R Infraprojects’ position in the highways sector, adding to its growing portfolio of EPC and HAM-based projects across India.
