Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has received a contract worth ₹39.26 crore (excluding taxes) from Southern Railway for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 25kV traction overhead equipment (OHE), the company informed exchanges on Monday.
The project pertains to the proposed doubling of the railway track between Thiruvananthapuram (inclusive) and Eraniel (exclusive) stations. It also includes modifications to the existing OHE infrastructure within the Thiruvananthapuram division, aimed at strengthening electrification and enhancing operational efficiency on the route.
The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is to be executed within a period of 36 months from the date of issuance of the Letter of Acceptance. The scope of work underscores Texmaco Rail’s continued presence in railway electrification projects, particularly in the high-growth southern corridor.
The company clarified that the contract does not involve any related party transactions, and neither the promoter group nor affiliated entities have any interest in the awarding authority.
The disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and has been duly submitted to both the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited.
This latest order further reinforces Texmaco Rail’s role in supporting Indian Railways’ infrastructure expansion and modernization initiatives, particularly in electrification and capacity augmentation projects.
