TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks to Develop Logistics Park in Siliguri, Expands East India Footprint

TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks (TVS ILP) has announced plans to develop a new logistics park in Siliguri after signing an agreement for a 10-acre land parcel in the strategically important West Bengal city.

The proposed project marks another major step in the company’s expansion across eastern India and is aimed at strengthening organised warehousing and logistics infrastructure in the region. Siliguri, often referred to as the gateway to Northeast India, holds strategic importance due to its connectivity with the northeastern states as well as neighbouring countries, including Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.

According to the company, the logistics park will support regional supply chain efficiency while enabling the development of Grade A warehousing infrastructure. The facility is expected to cater to growing demand from sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, third-party logistics, and regional distribution networks.
TVS ILP stated that the project aligns with its broader strategy of expanding into high-potential logistics and industrial hubs across India, particularly in emerging Tier-II and Tier-III markets. The company sees strong long-term potential in eastern India due to rising industrial activity, consumption growth, and increasing cross-border trade opportunities.

The Siliguri development will also contribute to employment generation and help formalise the warehousing ecosystem in the region by introducing modern logistics infrastructure and integrated supply chain facilities.
This is the company’s second major investment in West Bengal following its earlier warehousing facility in Fulbari near Siliguri, which currently hosts a leading e-commerce player. TVS ILP has been steadily strengthening its presence across eastern India, with projects and expansion plans in Odisha, Assam, and other emerging logistics markets.

The latest investment reflects the increasing importance of Siliguri as a multimodal logistics and distribution hub, supported by strong highway, rail, and trade connectivity across eastern and northeastern India.
