Godrej Secures 98 MWp Open-Access Solar Project in Haryana

The Energy Solutions Business of Godrej Enterprises Group has secured an order to develop a 98 MWp (70 MW AC) open-access solar power plant in Sirsa, Haryana. The project is the largest order by capacity and the largest open-access solar project in the state.

Talking about the project, Raghavendra Mirji, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Energy Solutions, a part of Godrej Enterprises, said, “This project is a proud milestone for us and reinforces our role in India’s renewable energy transition. For more than a hundred years, Godrej has been contributing to the nation’s progress through engineering excellence and sustainable innovation.”

Mirji further added, “By developing Haryana’s largest open-access solar installation, we are furthering that legacy while helping industries move towards cleaner and more reliable energy. The project will also generate local employment and strengthen regional infrastructure, supporting India’s broader growth agenda.”

The order has been awarded by Hexa Climate Solutions. Under the agreement, Godrej’s Energy Solutions Business will execute turnkey execution of the project. Once operational, the 98 MWp solar plant will generate approximately 1,470 lakh kWh of clean energy every year. Each unit of solar power generated helps reduce around 0.52 kilograms of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which together translates into a substantial reduction in emissions equivalent to over 75,000 tonnes of CO2 annually, or equivalent to planting 3.5 million trees.

The project will employ bifacial TopCon modules with string inverters and integrate smart-monitoring technologies to optimise generation efficiency. In keeping with Godrej Enterprises Group’s sustainability and nation-building ethos, the business will work with regional partners, engage local communities, and generate employment, while upholding strict environmental standards.

With this order, the Energy Solutions Business strengthens its position as a trusted partner for industries transitioning to renewable energy. The business has already executed 98 MWp of solar installations across India.
