RenewSys India’s N-Type TOPCon Solar PV Cells Added to MNRE’s ALMM List-II

RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd., India’s first integrated manufacturer of Solar PV Modules and key components, has announced that its bifacial N-Type TOPCon Solar PV Cells have been included in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II for Solar PV Cells.

The approval covers RenewSys’s manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, with an enlisted annual production capacity of 452 MW.

The approved Solar PV Cells incorporate advanced bifacial N-Type TOPCon technology and feature:

  • 182.2 mm × 183.75 mm wafer format
  • 16 busbar configuration
  • PID-free architecture
  • Cell efficiencies ranging from 24.0% to 25.6%
  • Power output ranging from 8.03 W to 8.54 W per cell

The enlistment is valid until April 29, 2030.

The inclusion in ALMM List-II represents a significant milestone in RenewSys’s continued expansion across the solar manufacturing value chain and further strengthens its position as a key contributor to India’s clean energy transition and manufacturing self-reliance initiatives.

Commenting on the development, Mr Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, RenewSys India, said, “The inclusion of RenewSys Solar PV Cells in ALMM List-II marks an important step in our journey towards strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem. This achievement reflects our continued focus on advanced cell technologies, manufacturing excellence, and our commitment to supporting the nation’s renewable energy ambitions with high-efficiency, Made-in-India solar products.”

The implementation of ALMM List-II for Solar PV Cells is expected to accelerate domestic manufacturing adoption, enhance supply chain security, and reduce import dependence within India’s rapidly growing solar sector.

As India continues to scale its renewable energy capacity, RenewSys remains focused on expanding its integrated manufacturing capabilities across Solar PV Modules, Encapsulants, Backsheets, and Solar PV Cells, while delivering reliable and high-performance solutions for utility-scale, commercial & industrial, and rooftop solar applications.

RenewSys is also expanding its manufacturing roadmap with a planned additional 4.5 GW G12R Solar PV Cell line, of which 2.25 GW is currently under execution, further strengthening its commitment to advanced domestic solar manufacturing capacity in India.
